    Become a certified diver in just two weekends! The Open Water Diver course consists on 3 components: independent study, 1 weekend of theory review and pool sessions, and 1 weekend of certification dives in open water in the 1000 Islands area of Ontario.

    The PADI Open Water Diver certification will allow you to dive independently anywhere in the world, up to a depth of 60'/18m.

    So you`ve finally decided to take the plunge and start scuba diving and want to learn on your next vacation down south or somewhere tropical? It`s a great idea, and we can help!

    Learning to scuba dive down south has never been easier. We work with you to complete all preparatory learning and practice before you leave plus get you fitted for your personal scuba gear (mask, fins and snorkel) that you`ll need for your trip. Then you just need to complete 4 dives while on vacation with a qualified PADI instructor, and you`ll be all set!

    PADI Open Water Diver course

    Whether you want to dive on your vacations down south, or explore our historic local waterways, your training with Action Scuba will ensure that you’ll be a safe and confident scuba diver wherever you go. And of course, you`ll have fun while learning!

    Our expert instructors will guide you through 5 pool dives followed by 4 dives in the open water, during which you’ll master twenty four basic scuba diving skills. Your practical learning will be complemented by instructor led theory sessions which you can opt to replace with online eLearning for added flexibility.

    Action Scuba Montreal makes a $10 donation to Project Aware for every certified student

    At the end of the course, your globally recognized PADI certification will allow you to dive in open water anywhere, to a depth of up to 18 metres or 60 feet.

    And to celebrate becoming a certified scuba diver, we`ll take you for your first post-certification dive on one of the popular local shipwrecks as an added bonus!* This bonus dive can even be counted towards your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course (as your Wreck Adventure Dive).

    This will give you an excellent foundation to start scuba diving and prepare you to continue on to the next level with our PADI Advanced Open Water diver course, which will enable you to dive to depth of up to 30 metres or 100 feet, sample some exciting adventure dives and fine tune your scuba skills.
